Lockdown 2 Update - 4th November 2020 until 2nd December 2020
During the lockdown I may stay open for urgent need cases. If you have an urgent need based on health grounds whether for pain or for stress management whereby there is a greater need for alleviation then I may be able to deliver hands on therapy services. Please contact me so we can discuss this.
1. ATTEND ONLINE HEALTH CONSULTATION (15 -30 minutes)
You will need to complete a confidential, initial health consultation either online (via Zoom) or by phone, a few days or the week before having your first in-person treatment (due to Covid). This is so I can gather as much information about you in order to understand your unique needs. This will include your contact details, your medical and lifestyle history, any other treatment and medication you are having or have had along with a discussion of treatment goals and if you have any contraindications. This information is used in order to give you a safe and effective treatment.
From your initial consultation we will work on a plan to follow through and book you in for your hands-on therapy treatment.

you will receive a confirmation email with the details including the Zoom link or phone number to call on at your appointment time
GP advice: If you have certain medical conditions or are taking medication, you may need to seek advice from your GP surgery before we proceed with hands-on treatment. You may need to ask your GP whether there is any reason for treatment not to go ahead or to seek clarification and I will ask you to sign that you have done this. This is in order to keep you safe. For example, if you are on medication for blood clotting I need to ensure that the treatment I give will not put you at risk. If you are undergoing treatment with a specialist e.g. for cancer then I will ask that you seek their advice too. You will need to sign that you have sought this advice on your consultation form.
Allergies: please notify me of any allergies you may have.
2. SIGN AND COMPLETE A Covid19 SCREENING FORM
Please complete this form 24 -48 hours before your treatment. I will then recheck with you when you attend in person.
3. HANDS ON TREATMENT
Please *** DO NOT ***attend your hands on treatment if you feel unwell the day of your appointment or meet any of the criteria for needing to self isolate in accordance with government guidance.
Your hands on therapy treatment appointment will be booked in during your consultation.
The following will help you to make the most of your appointment time:
Please arrive on time for your appointment and I will come to the door to greet you (with covid19 the reception area is out of use).
Please allow time to visit the toilet beforehand
Make sure you have eaten enough not to feel hungry but not to feel uncomfortable during your appointment and do not eat a big meal nor drink alcohol immediately before or after!
Turn off your mobile phone please or have it on silent mode so you can fully focus on the session
Please bring a face covering (these are mandatory as of 8th August 2020) to your appointment
Please wear loose and comfortable clothing if possible
As the room will be well ventilated before and after you may wish to bring an extra warm layer of clothing along
Allow yourself some time to relax after your appointment so you don’t have to rush anywhere
After your appointment you will be given aftercare advice and we will book in future treatment sessions as necessary.
Please pay for your initial treatment session as soon as we have agreed on a date and time, in order to confirm your booking.
Payment of treatment fees are due on booking before or immediately at the time of your session. I accept payment by:
Cash (please bring exact amount in an envelope as I do not carry change)
direct transfer to bank account
You will be issued with a receipt upon payment.
Booked consecutively means booked and paid up front. Please note I do not offer credit.
Cancellation, No Show or Rescheduling Appointments
Covid: Please read my covid19 guidance and do not attend your appointment if you have any symptoms, are unwell or have come into contact with the infection. If you are unwell on the day of your appointment please contact me as early as possible by text, phone or email and ensure that you have received a reply from me confirming I have received your message. If you do not hear back from me within an hour please call again as I may not have received your message. No cancellation fee will be incurred for covid19 related cancellations.
Time Keeping and Lateness
If you are going to be late please call 07423 019459 asap.
Please note I have other appointments to keep and will need to finish at the time agreed, either to for my next client or to clear the room for another therapist. If you arrive late then you can still have your appointment but it will stop at the time previously agreed e.g. if you were booked for 2 p.m - 3pm and you arrive at 2.15 pm then your appointment will still finish at 3 p.m. You will be required to pay for the full time of the original booking.
Cancellations: Please note, for all other cancellations I require a minimum of 48 hours of notice. Cancellations cost me time and money as I still have to pay for the room hire and other costs and it affects my service to other clients.
If you cancel or fail to attend your appointment with less than 48 hours then a £30 fee will be made to cover my room hire and other costs. If you cancel using a gift voucher then your voucher will be considered VOID.
Exceptions at my discretion will be made for illness and medical emergencies of yourself or a close family member (e.g vomiting, fever, flu, infectious condition).
My Right to Cancel
I reserve my right to cancel an appointment. I will endeavour to do so with 24 hours of notice but on occasion e.g. due to a medical emergency or illness may need to cancel at short notice and in particular with covid19 if I feel unwell I will need to cancel. A new appointment will be offered if possible and if not then a refund will be given for that particular appointment, if payment has already been received. At times I may be late due to unforeseen circumstances but will aim to contact you as soon as is possible to inform you or rearrange your treatment session.

* I am a certified and qualified holistic complementary therapist and health coach and am not a qualified medical practitioner nor am I a registered dietician
* I massage male clients through personal referrals only
* any inappropriate behaviour by enquirers and/or clients will result in the treatment being ceased and my policy is to refer to the police authorities if necessary. Complementary therapists deserve to be treated in accordance with their training and any unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated.
Please note I reserve the right to change my prices and terms and conditions at any time but in accordance with UK law will inform you before the treatment commences.
Please notify me of any allergies you may have.
Please bring any medication available that you require for allergy-related symptoms as a precaution.
For asthmatics please have your usual inhaler with you.
