A certain spread had a great reason for being invented but over time the ingredients have been cheapened in order to maximise profits. It is simple to make your own and healthier version.

Ingredients

1 tbspn nut butter - can be hazelnut, peanut or almond and avoid ones with extra ingredients - needs to be 100% nuts, no sweeteners, emulsifiers nor salt

1 tspn cocoa powder (or raw cacao powder)

1/2 tspn maple syrup or coconut palm sugar

1 tspn coconut oil

Mix all the ingredients together. The coconut oil (preferably cold pressed raw and NOT fractionated) helps to make it easier to spread.
