Summer dips are ideal to pop in a lidded tub and take with you to work or for picnics. If you are feeling pecking then having a range of vegetable sticks in the fridge is a great way to not eat junk and stick to healthy foods.

Sticks for dipping (aka crudite) can be made from:

  • carrot

  • celery

  • capsicum

Also here are some dip recipes that are easy to make. You will need a food processor blender to blend them and they can either be coarse or really smooth.

Roasted Beetroot or Sweet Potato Dip

  • 6 beetroot or 3 sweet potato (roasted)

  • 2 tablespoons or tahini

  • 1 clove garlic (depending on your preference you may wish to roast this too)

  • juice from one whole lemon

  • 1/2 red chilli (remove seeds) or 1/4 tspn chilli powder

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (use Extra Virgin)

  • 1 tablespoon water (until it's at the consistency you want)
